Welcome to Modern Jive Portsmouth!
Big News!
We’re taking early retirement next year to make time for our travel goals — which means we’ll be stepping back from running our ALN freestyles.
But don’t worry… the dancing continues!
We’re thrilled to
hand over the reins to Kev & Sarah Hambry.
You might remember Kev from our Friday Fever nights — he also teaches in New Milton and Fishbourne.
Our final freestyle will be in March, marking an incredible 27 years of ALN dance nights. From April, Kev & Sarah will keep ALN dance nights going — same format, same dates… and yes, still cake!
2026
January Freestyle
Saturday 17th January
- Doors open & dancing from 8pm
- Andy's varied mix of music for mainstream modern jive, including an hour of some of his all-time favourites from the last 27 years at 10pm!
- Complimentary cakes at 10pm
- We provide some free fruit squash, but please feel free to bring your own drinks, cups & water bottles
